How does it work?
Ultrasound or sonography uses high frequency sound waves. These sound waves create echoes based on the density of objects they come in contact with. Our high-tech APIO 50 running 80 software interprets this data and creates a real-time image.
Is it safe?
Yes. Ultrasound is a non-invasive technique so there aren't any syringes, scalpels, or other cutting devices. It also doesn't use ionizing radiation like an x-ray does, so patients and babies aren't exposed to harmful radiation. |
