Ultrasound

How does it work?

Ultrasound or sonography uses high frequency sound waves. These sound waves create echoes based on the density of objects they come in contact with. Our high-tech APIO 50 running 80 software interprets this data and creates a real-time image.

Is it safe?

Yes. Ultrasound is a non-invasive technique so there aren't any syringes, scalpels, or other cutting devices. It also doesn't use ionizing radiation like an x-ray does, so patients and babies aren't exposed to harmful radiation.

Who does them?

We offer the full range of ultrasound services. We have 2 highly skilled, friendly sonographers, both of which are registered in OB, breast, and abdomen and are nationally certified with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography).
